You have found the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division, Inc. of IAAP.

We have about 230 members in our two states with seven active chapters and division members-at-large. BE THE ONE
 
During the 2012-2013 IAAP year, we encourage our members to BE THE ONE to make a difference in our association. We know our members can reap the many benefits offered by IAAP at the international, division, and chapter levels through active involvement and participation.Our BE THE ONE Recognition Program will recognize chapters and members at the 2013 Division Annual Meeting.
EXCELLENCE

A-O Division has been an IAAP Division of Excellence for two consecutive years. All seven of our chapters were Chapters of Excellence, and 34 members (representing all chapters) were Members of Excellence for 2011-2012. We are proud of these accomplishments.

  • June 1 - Deadline for submitting A-O Division's Application for Committee Service Appointment during 2013-2014 to President-Elect Tidwell. Information available here.
  • June 1 - P2E Deadline for chapters to hold a Membership Drive and submit form to division
  • June 7 - Deadline for members and chapters to submit applications for A-O's Recognition Program and for chapters to submit the Checklist for A-O Division Annual Meeting
  • June 7 - P2E Deadline for chapters to name delegate to represent at division annual meeting
  • June 15 - P2E Deadline for division to submit Chapter Membership Drive Evaluation form to HQ
  • June 20-23 - 55th Annual A-O Division Annual Meeting hosted by American Fidelity Chapter at Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman, OK. "GET YOUR GAME ON!"
  • June 25 - P2E Deadline for chapters to hold New Member Orientation and submit form to division
  • June 30 - P2E Deadline for division to submit Chapter New Member Orientation Evaluations form AND Division Annual Meeting Credentials form to HQ
  • June 30 - Deadline for members to submit applications for International's Member of Excellence Program
  • July 27-31 - You can register NOW for the 2013 IAAP International Education Forum and Annual Meeting (EFAM) at Marriott Anaheim Hotel, Anaheim, CA. Guest room rates are $179 for standard room double occupancy and $219 for concierge rooms. Early-bird registration fee for members staying in the hotel block will be $546. Use this link to volunteer to serve on the Host Committee.
  • August 15 - Deadline to apply to take the November 2, 2013 certification exam. Deadline will be extended to August 31 with payment of a late fee.

A-O DIVISION NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

    On March 18, President-Elect Teresa Tidwell, CAP-OM, shared an e-group post to A-O members in which she provided an Application for Committee Service Appointment. Members wanting to serve on a committee (as chair or member) during 2013-2014 will find the application in this resource library, along with the A-O Division Bylaws and Leadership Guidelines. The deadline for submitting is June 1.

    The Oklahoma City Chapter is selling short-sleeved polo shirts with the Be the One logo as a fund raiser. You'll find the order form at this link. Other logo items are also available. If you are interested in those, contact Radonna Ross or Jackie McDonald.
