A-O DIVISION NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • If you are seeking information about BYLAWS in any form or fashion, be sure to check out this Resource Library. In it you will find the Model Bylaws, the Division Bylaws, the International Bylaws, the RTF Bylaws, the proposed amendments to Division Bylaws for 2012, the proposed amendments to International Bylaws for 2012, the associated Position Papers, the proposed amendments to the RTF Bylaws for 2012, the announcement letter about The Foundation, and, finally, the Schedule showing when our chapters' bylaws are next due to be reviewed by the A-O Division Bylaws Committee. It's one-stop shopping for you.
  • We hope each of our chapters and all of our members are participating in A-O Division's Pathways to Excellence programs for 2011-2012. You will find the criteria for Chapter of Excellence and Member of Excellence in A-O's P2E RESOURCE LIBRARY, along with the application forms for you to complete. Applications are due by May 31 to A-O's P2E Liaison Cheryl Cook, CAP-OM, and awards will be presented at the 2012 Division Annual Meeting. C'mon, we know you're LEAPING TO REMARKABLE. Here's your chance to show it!
  • A-O Division is indeed MAKING THE LEAP TO REMARKABLE this year by staying true to our Business Plan that has been in place for several years now. How can we know where we are going without a road map? Have you read it?. The division officers updated the Business Plan in February 2012, and you can check out a copy in the A-O Business Document Library. Let them know what you think about it.
  • Are you looking for a speaker?  Check out the updated A-O Division Speaker's Bureau.
  • Check out this Document Library for information from A-O Division's 2011 Education Forum held in Fort Smith, AR on August 27.
  • Check out the A-O Business Document Library for important information during the 2011-2012 year. In that library you will find the division bylaws and leadership guidelines...for those who may be considering nomination for a division officer position at the 2012 division annual meeting. On April 18, we added the quarterly financial statement for your review.
    • You can tell about your IAAP experience or read testimonials from other members at this page -- Member Testimonials.
    Dr. Susan Fenner from IAAP Headquarters routinely publishes articles for the benefit of IAAP members that can be used in chapter newsletters and on chapter websites. We link these articles in this Document Library for your use. On May 4, we uploaded "Proving Worthiness."

DATES TO REMEMBER

  • May 31, 2012 -- Deadline for submitting applications for A-O Division's Chapter of Excellence and Member of Excellence programs.
  • June 1, 2012 - P2E Deadline for Membership Drives - chapters must hold at least one Membership Drive between July 1, 2011 & May 31, 2012.  The chapter must submit a completed Membership Drive Evaluation form to the division by June 1st
  • June 7-10, 2012 - 54th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division, Inc. in Little Rock, AR
  • June 25, 2012 - P2E Deadline for New Member Orientation - chapters must hold at least one New Member Orientation between July 1, 2011 and June 25, 2012.  The chapter must submit a completed New Member Orientation Evaluation form to the division by June 25th.
  • July 21-26, 2012 - EFAM in Grapevine, TX

Your A-O Division Officers and the Central Arkansas Chapter are getting into the full swing of planning an annual meeting that will knock your socks off at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 7-10. We want YOU to plan to join us. You can make your hotel reservation for the weekend at this link to the Hilton Garden Inn, and the cut-off date for the conference rate is May 25. We are excited about our annual meeting and hope you are too. If you have any questions not covered in the registration materials, please contact Meeting Coordinator Teresa Tidwell, CAP-OM.

We have created the 2012 Annual Meeting Resource Library to share the information needed by attendees, so check it out. At this time, it contains the Registration Brochure, the Proposed Bylaw Amendments, and the Slate of Candidates Nominated for Division Office. We will add more documents for your information and planning as we get closer to annual meeting.
